We really enjoyed our stay, especially the cozy double room and the lovely breakfast options they had. The sun terrace was perfect for morning coffee, and the garden provided a nice spot to unwind. The shower was a bit tricky, as it had a mind of its own, but it didn’t ruin our experience. 😊

The dining area was beautifully decorated, creating a warm ambiance that made me feel completely at ease. The accessibility for seniors was very thoughtful, ensuring easy movement around the hotel, which I greatly appreciated.
More seating options in the lounge would be nice.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and understanding.
Lacked hot water due to boiler issues, impacting our experience.

The double room offered a cozy vibe, despite its small size, creating a sense of privacy. The surrounding area has a nice rustic charm, perfect for some quiet retreat time.
On the downside, cleanliness was hit or miss. housekeeping needed to be requested daily, and essentials like tea and coffee weren't replenished unless asked. The dining experience was lackluster—waiting over 15 minutes for attention on the first night, and the meal quality varied. my short rib looked overcooked and past its prime. It’s worth noting that the hotel’s interior felt dated, with visible wear and tear, like a shower head that could use a deep clean and light fixtures that seemed to be on the verge of falling down. Accessibility issues arose with parking, which could turn into a swamp after rain, making the trek to the hotel an unfortunate excursion. the view out our window left something to be desired, staring straight at an unsightly row of bins.

missingWrote a review on Sept 12friendly staffgood locationcozy roombathroom cleanlinessshower issues
I spent two nights at Sutton Staithe and found the location fantastic. The view overlooking the river was a highlight every morning. The staff members were genuinely friendly and made me feel welcome. My room, a Double Room, was clean and cozy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I enjoyed the pub dinner. the locally sourced food tasted great, especially the breakfast. the bathroom needed some work. It showed signs of wear, with cracked tiles and an outdated shower that was difficult to use. the temperature in the room fluctuated a bit. Although I reported it, it wasn't addressed during my stay. Despite these issues, the overall vibe and hospitality made it a pleasant stay.

Scenic views from the rooms capture the peaceful landscape, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The dining area has a cozy vibe, with a unique elegance that makes for a charming space to relax.
Upon arrival, the initial room rate seemed straightforward, but the final charge ended up being significantly higher, which felt a bit misleading. Room service left much to be desired. daily cleaning wasn't provided, and any tea or coffee supplies needed to be requested manually. Internet access turned out to be a hassle, with connectivity issues on most days. Dinner hours felt tight, especially when meals were slow to arrive. One morning, hot water was unavailable due to boiler issues, and there was no acknowledgment or compensation for that.

The staff were super friendly, especially the bar lady who made us feel like we were at home. We ordered dinner and it was just perfect, delicious and well-priced too, I mean, for what we got, it was worth it.
It wasn't cheap, but the quality really made it feel acceptable.

missingWrote a review on Jul 31comfortable bedmarina viewspacious roomcleaning products
The double room's size offered enough breathing space for us, paired with a surprisingly comfortable bed that made it easier to recharge after the day's adventures. The hotel’s proximity to the marina provided a scenic view and access to boat hires, enhancing our stay.
Despite the clean room, the lingering smell of cleaning products in the bathroom was quite pungent, though a good air freshener could easily remedy that. On one night, there was a disco that blasted music late into the night, which the owners did warn us about, but it still cut into our sleep. The general condition of the room felt a bit tired, and the dust and spider webs indicated that cleaning missed a few spots, giving it an overall neglected vibe. The lack of adequate storage space in both the room and bathroom made organization tricky, which can detract from a more relaxing experience.
